The Moulamein River walk is situated in this beautiful riverside area which follows along the Edward River and the Billabong Creek. It is full of native wildlife, fauna and also holds great cultural significance to the landscape of the local Aboriginal community - the Wamba Wamba / Wemba Wemba people.

This area is where the Aboriginal people hunted, fished, cooked, camped and held ceremonial gatherings as a community.

As you walk/drive through the area keep an eye out for the diverse range of local wildlife such as Kangaroos, Emus, Goanna’s, Bearded Dragons, Blue Finch, Cockatoo’s, Galahs, Kookaburras, Bush Stone Curlews just to name a few.

Learn all about the history and heritage of the oldest town in the Riverina as you take this signed tour. Read about the Aboriginal Culture, the historic landmarks and view the ‘Big Tree’ which is said to be over 300 years old and over 11 metres wide.

Drop your car off at the Big Tree car park off Paterson St (Moulamein/Barham Rd) and follow the signs to start your stroll.
